Location is excellent, just steps away from the beach. No hot water in the shower during our stay. The breakfast options were decent, but there were cleanliness issues in our room. Karaoke night was fun and lively. Wouldn't stay again due to maintenance problems.

Comfortable room, convenient location with easy beach access and all necessary amenities just a short distance away.
No complaints whatsoever.

The beachfront access made our mornings magical! The kids had a blast in the pool while we lounged on the sunbeds. Don’t even get me started on the complimentary waffles and banging coffee – yum!
Would definitely recommend! 😍🌊

Location is fantastic and right by the beach. The check-in process via kiosk can be confusing. Pool area is nice, but our room had some cleanliness issues. Enjoyed the karaoke nights nearby. Overall, decent for the price.

The hotel is just steps away from the beautiful beach making it super easy to spend the day soaking in the sun and there's also a refreshing pool right there so enjoying both options is a breeze and I loved that all the restaurants, ice cream shops, and even grocery stores we wanted to visit were all within a mile walk making our outings convenient and stress-free with the Wright Brothers National Memorial and the Little Red Mailbox being only a short stroll around 15 minutes away but I wish the rooms were a bit better maintained as I noticed a few cleanliness issues during my stay.

beachfront location and decent breakfast.

Being right behind the beach was a major plus, but that was overshadowed by the renovation chaos. While the room itself was spacious and the breakfast enjoyable, the overall condition was disappointing—rusty furniture and dampness, along with unhelpful staff at check-in. It felt like a thrown-together experience, and I can't shake the feeling that a bit more attention could have turned it around.

Breakfast exceeded expectations. Hot options like waffles and sandwiches were a pleasant surprise for this budget-friendly hotel. Recent updates are noted—clean linens and a fresh scent. Dog-friendly with a helpful staff made our stay pleasant, but the check-in process was cumbersome and impersonal. The room was smaller than anticipated, and while location was convenient, cleanliness was an issue. We encountered roaches and an unpleasant odor. Maintenance crew occupying parking and leaving debris around was frustrating. Improvement is needed in hygiene and security protocols. Friendly staff made efforts to assist, but significant issues remain that couldn't be overlooked.

Quality Inn Carolina Oceanfront offers spacious rooms with modern amenities, including single-serve coffee pots and decent-sized fridges. The attentive staff and enjoyable continental breakfast, featuring make-your-own waffles and fresh fruit, enhance the experience.

The access to the beach is fantastic and makes mornings special. The pool area is beautiful, and it’s great to have a pet-friendly vibe here.
Just be prepared for some noisy mornings during renovations.

Great match for short visits in Kill Devil Hills with good price-value balance. The location was excellent.

The heating in the room worked well to keep us warm on chilly evenings, while the air conditioning was a lifesaver after a long day under the sun. One thing we appreciated was the availability of tea and coffee facilities in the room. It was nice to be able to enjoy a hot cup of coffee first thing in the morning without having to leave the comfort of our room. we did notice that the mini-bar was lacking in options and could have been better stocked. The sitting area in the room was quite cozy and provided a nice space to relax after a day of exploring. We also enjoyed having a dining table where we could have our meals comfortably. The patio outside our room was a lovely addition, offering a nice spot to enjoy the fresh sea breeze. On the downside, we found that the free toiletries provided were rather generic and could have been of better quality. the absence of an AM/FM alarm clock was a bit inconvenient for us as we like to have a reliable wake-up call. The flat-screen TV in the room was a nice touch for some evening entertainment, but we did notice that the parquet floor seemed a bit worn out and could use some maintenance. Housekeeping was generally good, but we did find some inconsistencies in the cleanliness of the room during our stay. The laundry facilities were a bonus, but we were disappointed to find them to be a bit outdated and in need of upgrading. our experience at the Quality Inn had its ups and downs.

Pool was clean and friendly for kids. Breakfast had a good selection of hot items and fresh fruit.
Rates were a bit steep, but it’s still a decent place to stay.

The room had recent updates, with fresh paint and clean linens. the beds were uncomfortably hard, making it difficult to sleep. There were maintenance issues, like a hole in the ceiling and an unclean tub. Noise from the upper room was disruptive throughout the night. The air conditioning worked well, keeping the room pleasantly cool. I appreciated the efficient fridge, but the cleanliness left something to be desired with residual odors present. The convenience of beach access and nearby amenities was a plus, although some aspects of the room need attention to enhance comfort.

I had to deal with some random guy on a screen who offered no help. When I finally got to my room, it was filthy—mold everywhere and the balcony door barely hanging on. Just awful!

New Year’s at the hotel was a blast! The location was amazing, right by the ocean, which made early morning walks on the beach a real treat. I also loved the hot breakfast options, like the make, your, own waffles and sandwiches, which were unexpected for a budget.
The room had some cleanliness issues, like a bug bomb odor in the bathroom and dirty spots on the floors. It felt a bit gritty, and we had to tread carefully to keep our feet clean.

The staff were the perfect examples of Southern hospitality. The free hot breakfast fueled my beach adventures. The property was ideal for bringing my family to enjoy the beach.
Oh, how I adored the sight of construction materials in the stairwells and the uninviting dirty outdoor staircases.

Had a blast with friends visiting the awesome Pirate's Cove Marina and catching the thrilling Lost Colony outdoor drama show nearby. Lots of fun activities in the area like mini-golf and bike rentals, and the Wright Brothers Memorial was super cool!
Wish there was a livelier nightlife scene for us young party animals in the area.

Conveniently located near the beach, making it easy to enjoy morning walks and sunset views. The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast, which was a nice way to start the day before heading out for work. Additionally, the staff was friendly and responsive, ensuring a pleasant and hassle-free stay during my business trip.
The cleanliness of the rooms was lacking, with signs of neglect and inadequate maintenance. The rooms had a musty smell, and there were cleanliness issues that affected the overall comfort of the stay.

The kids had a blast exploring and we enjoyed quality family time at these fun spots. If you fancy a swim, the outdoor pool offers a refreshing dip with a view!
My wife says that the hotel could benefit from having a better-equipped children's play area.

we had a decently priced stay at Quality Inn. the complimentary breakfast, especially the waffles and coffee, was a real winner. the pool area was not overcrowded and had an outside shower for beachgoers. It's baby-friendly, as our 12-month-old had a blast in the pool. the beach was a fair distance away, which was a bit of a hike for me as a 6-month pregnant person, but still manageable.
nothing that i didn't like 🙁

Our family stay at a beachside hotel in Kill Devil Hills was a mixed bag, but we made the most of it. The location was absolutely perfect, right next to a beach access point, complete with comfortable benches to relax and enjoy the ocean view. The room itself had a spacious bathroom and a comfortable bed, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, which added to our overall positive experience.
The check-in process was a bit frustrating, as we had to wait an hour for a clean room. And although we eventually got used to it, there was a mildew odor in our room, which was less than ideal.

The room had a wonderful ocean view and a balcony. It was close to the beach and dining options, perfect for a budget-friendly stay.
Felt very welcomed, no complaints.

the lobby and room were spotless when we checked in. the hotel is super close to the beach - we parked across the street - enjoyed the beach on our checkout day. also, the deck is amazing - we could hear the waves crashing, and my dog loved it. oh, and the breakfast was outstanding.
